MISSIONS WORK

WMA is a Ladies Group that meets on the 3rd Sunday of Each Month following the Sunday Morning worship Service.  A Free Potluck Lunch is provided for all in attendance.  WMA works on providing for the needs of our church and people in our local communities.  All Ladies are WELCOME to Join!

Brotherhood is a Men's Group that meets at the same time as WMA.  The Brotherhood maintains the working condition of our church and assists people in our local communities who need construction work, yard work and other projects.  All Men are WELCOME to Join!

CLOTHES CLOSET HISTORY

The year's first deep freeze cold front was about to hit the East Texas area as we approached November of 2022. "Oh Lord!"  I cried. the cold about to hit us and so many people need coats and warm clothing. SOMEBODY should do something! God replied, "First Baptist Church of Omen is SOMEBODY." Thus, the First Baptist Church of Omen CLOTHES CLOSET was born! 

A call went out to our local communities asking for clothing donations and GOD ANSWERED

MIGHTILY! Clothing donations began to arrive in full force and continue to arrive all the time! Our Original Clothes Closet (November 2022 - June 2024) was held in our church fellowship hall. By November of 2023, we had outgrown the fellowship hall, and we wondered how to proceed with the Clothes Closet. 

After prayerful consideration, our church began making plans to erect a New Building dedicated to housing the Clothes

Closet and to be used in future ministries as they might arise. This building was completed and dedicated to God in the early part of July 2024. Our First Clothes Closet in this New Building was held on Thursday, July 25, 2024. We had 7 families

visit us that evening! 

(In the Bible, 7 is the number of Completion!)

Our Clothes Closet is Open: Every Thursday: 2:00PM - 5:00PM

First Baptist Church of Omen supports missions work around the world. As God leads us, we partner to provide Finances, Clothing, Food and other types of donations necessary in spreading the Healing and The Hope of Jesus Christ to a dying world. This support helps to fund: Medical Clinics & Medicine, Christian Radio Stations, Christian Bibles and other Christian Literature, Safe Food & Drinking Water, Clothing and more. We continually receive reports from our worldwide partners concerning the wonderful GROWTH of CHRISTIANITY in many parts of the world! We Thank God for Blessing our church and for showing us how and where He wants us to use the resources He has given us.

The Baptist Progress Newspaper: A monthly newspaper is available to members.  This newspaper informs members of the BMAT’s ongoing projects, missions work, meeting dates and times and other general BMAT information.

Texas Baptist Home for Children Foster Care & Adoption: TBHC (Texas Baptist Home for Children) is a Christ-centered foster care and adoption agency that cares for children and families by offering stability, discovering self-worth, and achieving true healing in Christ.
